Adoption Process

As the first step in adopting a puppy from Moonlit Acres, we ask that you please take a few moments and complete the puppy application. Please really pour some thoughts into what you are looking for in a puppy. It will help us to determine if one of our puppies might be a good fit for you and your family and will aid us in making the very best match between puppy and owner. Here is a link to the puppy application. We will respond to your puppy application usually within 8 hours or less.
We will review your application and will spend some time speaking with you by phone. Once we are comfortable that you would be a good match for one of our puppies we will work with you to establish which upcoming litter might be the best fit for you and your family as well as the puppy.
Please understand that getting on the waiting list does not guarantee that you will get a puppy out of the next litter born as there may be others ahead of you or our girl may not have the particular gender that you are ideally seeking. It is our intent to work with you to the best of our ability and with the cooperation of Mother Nature to help place a puppy that is the best match for you and your family.
We will do our best to communicate with you regarding the process and our upcoming litters. You are welcome to email us at any time to check on status. The more you limit yourself to sex, color, especially specific shade of color, the longer you will probably have to wait. The more flexible you are the shorter your wait, usually.

We accept a non-refundable application fee of $500.00 to be paid once your application for adoption has been approved. All application fees are applied towards the adoption fee of your new puppy. You are welcome to make payment via PayPal or via cash or check for the application fee.
Adoption Fee with AKC limited registration - $4,500 + 8.4% Washington Sales tax.
